I fully agree with you but as I wrote in the post, the goal of this extension is to give you a first (and immediate) impression of the size of what you import. It might not be 100% accurate but it might also give you a “Whoa! Maybe I should rethink this import” moment.
We are always accepting pull requests if you feel like diving into internal dependencies calculations.
